Annemare Rijnbeek

 I am exploring the unity of abstraction and figurative art. What I am looking for is the representation the dynamics in human relationships, especially the connection between people. Something that has my interest always, but especially in these times.

I start with a completely abstract work, in which I try to balance paint, texture, collage and colors. When I am satisfied, I start looking for my figures. I bring then to the foreground, but in such a way that the abstraction still remains and a connection becomes visible.

What I am looking for is surprises, for me and for the spectator. Emotions, room to reflect and wonder, wanting to touch the painting and finding beautiful details. Discovering something different every time.
