Contemporary mixed media abstract figurative art.
I work in mixed media on linen, canvas and paper. I start of with a complete abstract work, then I try to find the meaning and my figures in the painting.
My materials are acrylic paint, ink, pencil, brush, sponge, paletknife. I use many techniques like glazing, texturing and collage.
With my art I hope to capture viewers, to make them take time to examine my work. At first sight there might be confusion, what are you seeing? Upon closer inspection you will find the figures and their meaning. The purpose of my work is to convey emotion and feel the connection.
I have a preference for expressionist painters; my favorites are Tapiès and Twombly.
